Great for getting away from touristy areas and exploring wildlife. Convenient for visiting nearby attractions and had good Wi-Fi and laundry service.
Terrible condition of the driveway which can damage cars, dirty and old interior furniture, ant infestation particularly in the kitchen, noise from animals in the walls, and overall poor cleanliness of the property.

Great location - we really enjoyed it. 😊 If you're in the area, we'd say it's worth checking out.

We loved it. Placed within 55 minutes' car ride to Kailua-Kona. Excellent home base for a weekend in Pahala...

The location of the hotel is great as it is relatively close to the Hawaii Volcano National Park, which makes it convenient for those who want to explore the park. it is also near a black sand beach, providing guests with the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The fast wireless internet and the availability of a washer and dryer on site are convenient amenities that add to the comfort of the guests.
The overall cleanliness of the property, as mentioned in one of the reviews, seems to be a major concern for guests.

Loved staying at the beautiful historic house that had a large kitchen, comfy beds, and wonderful antique décor. The property had extensive grounds where we could see chickens and pigs. The owner was very friendly and gave us great tips for exploring the area. The location was perfect, centrally located between the Black sand beach and the National Park.
The bugs and geckos were typical of those found in Hawaii but could be unnerving for some. Roosters and pigs could be heard in the distance so if you are seeking silence, this may not be the place for you.
